Sylvester & Cockrum’s solar division can do-it-all, from design/build to implementation. We specialize in car port solar installs, roof top installs, and ground mounts. We have crews that have worked on projects from North Carolina to California and from Maine to Florida.
Sylvester & Cockrum technicians have their unlimited electrical license and are manufacturer trained.
The size of our projects range from 50 kilowatts to 5 Megawatts. We have completed projects on government military bases, chain grocery stores, universities, hospitals, retail stores, solar farms, parking decks, warehouses, and banks.
Going Green
So what does it mean to "go green" or use renewable energy?
Renewable energy is energy that comes from nature like sunlight, wind, rain, and geothermal heat. Here at Sylvester & Cockrum, we offer three ways to harness that energy by offering thermal solar, PV solar, and geothermal services.
Understanding the three types of renewable energy:
Thermal: Converting the sun’s energy to heat water
Geothermal: Energy from the sub-surface of either the ground (earth) or large body of water where the temperatures are fairly constant in order to power heating and cooling systems.
PV Solar: Converting the sun’s energy to produce electricity
